Builders work day 2

I went to the workshop to meet the builders which started the works two days earlier as we discussed.They are still not there, but I can see what they have done which I documented through taking a couple of pictures.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I met the builders at 10. They are working on the ceiling making it smooth.They are the owner's husband and a young builder. Later they tell me about them.

The older man was a O.N.U soldier in Beirut (!) before to becoming a builder, after being injured at a leg there… Now he is a retired builder, but he is still working sometime (like in this case…). The young guy come from Albania. [...] Talking about age, he finally told me that when he finished the high school, while his friends were partying, he was already on the sea. "On the sea"? I asked. "On the sea, to come to Italy"? Yes -he told me, smiling. "But" I asked "not on one of those damaged boats, isn't?" Well -he answered- almost like that -smailing/laughing again.Quite surprised -me.Tomorrow I would like to ask him again, a bit more -if possible, about that experience.[He also told me about Albania, Comunism there, and why everybody which means men and women are good in working and good in kraft. Under Comunism everybody had a job, so Women still now are very good workers. They are good in kraft and specially women in tailoring…
